Electromagnetic Characterization in Communications

This track brings together research on electromagnetic propagation, antenna modeling, advanced antennas, and programmable environments.

The topics include massive MIMO, XL-MIMO, THz communications, reconfigurable surfaces, and spatial communication. The goal is to develop fundamental technologies ranging from antenna arrays to reconfigurable surfaces for applications in communications and sensing.

Key challenges include the modeling of advanced dual-polarized antenna arrays, reconfigurable structures, and integration into satellites and autonomous vehicle systems.
