October 2025: Good news! The paper "Circuit-Based Modeling Approach for Channel Estimation in RIS-Assisted Communications", co-authored with Daniel C. Alcântara, Daniel V. C. Oliveira, Gilderlan T. Araújo, and Paulo R. B. Gomes, received the Best Paper Award at the XLIII Brazilian Telecommunications and Signal Processing Symposium (SBrT 2025). All the authors are members of the INCT-Signals project.
October 2025: Students and researchers from our INCT-Signal project participated strongly in the 2025 edition of the Brazilian Symposium on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (SBrT 2025). In total, INCT-Signals researchers presented 14 scientific articles (!) at the event, consolidating the group's relevance on the national scene.
September 2025: Prof. André de Almeida will give an invited talk at the Advanced Air Mobility Systems Symposium, which will be held as part of the Beihang University Global Partners Summit, in conjunction with the 23rd China International Talent Exchange Conference.
August 2025: Prof. André de Almeida will give an invited talk at the 2025 edition of the Webinar Series on BD-RIS, organized by the IEEE ComSoc Special Interest Group (SIG) on Beyond Diagonal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface. More details here.
July 2025: A brilliant team of undergraduate students and members of our INCT project had five papers accepted in the XLIII Brazilian National Symposium on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (SBrT 2025). Congrats to them!
April 2025: The LASP laboratory at UFC, a member of the INCT-Signals, will receive a powerful Petascale supercomputer! The new structure will be implemented next year and will provide large-scale data processing and storage capabilities to the Technology Center of UFC.
February 2025: We organize the first annual workshop of the 𝘐𝘕𝘊𝘛-𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘴 project. For more information about this exciting event, please visit here.
January 2025: Our INCT-Signals project will be represented at the International Conference on Communications (ICC 2025) with two accepted papers!
October 2024: INCT-Signals will host the 2024 Workshop on Communication, Sensing, and Allocation in Future Wireless Systems, partially supported by CAPES, DAAD, CNPq, and IEEE SPS.
October 2024: The post-doc researcher, Gilderlan Araújo, received honorable mention in the 2024 Best PhD Thesis Award (promoted by the Brazilian Society of Telecommunications) and received an honorable mention.
August 2024: The Northeast Brazil IEEE SPS Chapter is launched! The chapter is an initiative of a team of researchers from the INCT-Signals project aimed at strengthening and promoting signal processing research and new technological trends within our academic community. Engaging activities to come soon!
July 2024: The INCT-Signals project had four papers accepted for the ASILOMAR-SSC 2024 conference!
December 2023: The 𝘐𝘕𝘊𝘛-𝘚𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘴 project entitled “Signal Processing, Communications, Sensing, and Surveillance” is launched! The project is funded by the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) as part of the National Institutes of Science and Technology (INCT) initiative.
